What is Finta.no?

Finta.no is an AI-powered platform that brings together operations, sales, marketing, and partnerships for small Norwegian businesses. Its aim is to let a business manage its day-to-day operations in one place, while giving customers an easy way to discover, order from, or book with the business.

This help page primarily covers Finta Business, the administration interface where owners and employees set up and run the business.

Prerequisites

You do not need an account to read this introduction. To follow the setup guides, you need a Finta.no account and access to a business.

What you will learn

  • the difference between Finta.no, Finta Business, and the public customer page
  • the four main areas brought together by the platform
  • how the information you enter is used in the customer journey
  • the business’s responsibility for its content and lawful operations
  • the order we recommend when getting started

Changes in Finta Business may affect what customers see. Always check the public page after changing the name, images, opening hours, prices, availability, or payment setup.

The business’s responsibility for content and lawful operations

Important: The business is responsible for ensuring that information, prices, images, product and service descriptions, terms, and other content published through Finta.no are accurate, up to date, lawful, and not misleading. An agreement for a purchase or service is normally made between the customer and the business. The business must therefore correct errors and handle customer enquiries or claims resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information it has published.

Finta.no may review and moderate content, but does not necessarily approve everything before it is published. The platform must not be used to offer or market goods or services that are prohibited or illegal to sell in Norway. If Norwegian law, the Terms of Use, or the rights of others are violated, Finta.no may hide or remove content, stop publication, and suspend or terminate the business’s access. Where there is reasonable suspicion of a criminal offence, Finta.no may notify the police or other relevant authorities when there is a legal basis or obligation to do so.

This does not limit Finta.no’s liability where such liability follows from mandatory Norwegian law or from Finta.no’s own acts or omissions. See the complete Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for Finta Business.

Separate Terms of Use and a separate Privacy Policy apply to end customers who use the marketplace.

The four main areas

Business management

Manage the business profile, products or services, orders, bookings, payments, employees, screens, and equipment. Available names and features are adapted to the business’s industry.

AI marketing

Get campaign and content suggestions, edit the text, select channels, and decide when the content should be published. The AI provides a starting point; the business must review and approve the content.

Partnerships

Connect the business with other companies, review requests, and create partner offers. An offer is not made available to the partner’s customers until the necessary terms and approvals are in place.

Marketplace

Published businesses can be discovered by customers searching for local restaurants, salons, shops, and services. The customer proceeds to the business’s public page and completes an order, booking, or enquiry directly.

The customer Marketplace is not the same as Apps in Finta Business. Under Apps, the business installs and manages features in its own workspace.

How a typical customer journey fits together

  1. The business creates its profile, opening hours, and products or services in Finta Business.
  2. The business configures bookings, orders, and payments as needed.
  3. An owner or administrator reviews the information and publishes the business.
  4. The customer finds the business through the marketplace, a shared link, or a widget.
  5. The customer places an order, makes a booking, or sends an enquiry.
  6. The business handles the activity in Finta Business and tracks the results in the dashboards.

Start with the basics

You do not need to activate every feature right away. Start with:

  1. the correct business and industry
  2. a complete and accurate business profile
  3. products or services with prices
  4. opening hours or availability
  5. legal texts and the preferred payment method
  6. a controlled test of the customer journey

Apps, subscriptions, and roles determine which menu items are available. A missing menu item therefore does not always mean that something is wrong.
