The Marketplace and App Marketplace

Finta.no uses the term marketplace for the customer’s path to local businesses. The Apps menu item in Finta Business opens the App Marketplace, where the business manages Finta.no’s own feature modules. The two are connected, but they have different users and purposes.

Prerequisites

• You have selected the correct business in Finta Business.
• Your role has permission to publish the business or change apps. Regular employees may be able to see apps, but not necessarily install, pin, or uninstall them.
• You have checked the business profile, industry, address, opening hours, and offering.
• The business must be active and published to appear in the public listing.

The public marketplace

On Finta.no’s public customer page, customers can search for businesses, filter by location and industry, and continue to a business’s page. The marketplace supports the four groups Food service, Salon, Retail, and Services.

A listing may show, among other things:

• name, description, industry, and relevant labels
• logo, cover image, address, and location
• opening hours
• public phone number when the business has explicitly enabled it
• visible reviews and ratings
• an active public campaign when its conditions are met

Complete images and information make the listing easier to understand, but do not guarantee a particular position in the search results.

Prepare the business for the marketplace

1. Open Business profile and check the name, description, industry, address, and location.
2. Add a clear logo and a cover image that represents the business.
3. Check opening hours, booking hours, and any temporary closures.
4. Add relevant industry labels so customers can filter more precisely.
5. Publish products, a menu, services, or packages with the correct prices and availability.
6. Configure ordering, booking, and payment for the customer journey you offer.
7. Choose whether the phone number should be public.
8. Enable any campaigns that should appear in the widget and marketplace.
9. Complete the publication checklist and publish the business.
10. Open the public page in a private browser window and test it as a customer.

Finta.no does not charge a percentage-based marketplace commission. A fixed platform or order fee may nevertheless apply to each paid order, in addition to charges from the payment provider, messaging, subscription, or equipment. Always check the current agreement and pricing.

The customer journey varies by industry

The customer transacts directly with the business. Check that notifications, capacity, payment status, and internal processing work before sharing the link widely.

The App Marketplace in Finta Business

Open Apps to view the App Marketplace. This is a catalogue of Finta.no’s own modules, not an open store for third-party apps. Many apps may already have been installed automatically when the business was created, so the Discover area may be empty.

1. Use the search field or filter by Operations, Administration, or Growth.
2. View the Installed and Discover areas, then open App info for the description, included features, requirements, and status.
3. Check labels such as Premium or Preview.
4. Select Install when the app is available with the subscription.
5. Select Open after installation.
6. Pin the app to the navigation if it will be used frequently.

An app labelled Requires PRO cannot be installed until the subscription provides access. A Preview app may contain errors, change, or be removed; read the notice before installing it.

Uninstall or unpin an app

• Unpin from dock only removes the shortcut; the app remains installed.
• Uninstall removes the app from the list of installed apps. Finta.no states that saved data may be retained even when access to the features is removed.
• Core apps cannot always be uninstalled.
• Check active processes, screens, widgets, and employees before uninstalling an app that is in use.

Common problems

The business does not appear in the marketplace

Check that the business is active and published. Then check its industry, address, public page, and whether the change is still cached. Updates to the public listing may take a few minutes.

The business appears, but information is missing

Update the business profile, images, opening hours, labels, and widget settings. The phone number appears only when public display is enabled, and only visible reviews are included.

Customers can see the business, but cannot order or book

Check that the correct products or services are published, the app is installed, and availability, widget, and payments are configured. Test in a customer view without an administrator signed in.

I cannot install an app

Check the subscription, role, app requirements, and whether the business is deactivated. Premium apps may require an upgrade, and some apps require another app to be installed first. If all apps are already listed under Installed, it is normal for Discover to be empty.
